The IIS'2008 conference will be held in memoriam of Dr. Ryszard S. Michalski, professor of George Maison University (USA) and Foreign Member of the Polish Academy of Sciences, who was one of the principal co-founders of Machine Learning branch of Artificial Intelligence. For years, he was also a Programme Committee Member of the IIS conference series.
